No stuttering, but only get about 48 FPS with a single 290x. My monitor is 96hz 1440p and I have not had any trouble running at this resolution and refresh rate with Vsync on. I can't remember if crossfire worked in Dead Island or Riptide, but I remember I had to use the Dead Island Riptide Helper utility to fix the micro-stutter and other issues, and even then performance was still not great I loved Dying Light but was never able to get crossfire working in that game due to microstutter issues, and flickering with some effects. No stuttering, but only get about 48 FPS with a single 290x.Ĭrossfire didn't work right out the box, but simply switching to AFR Friendly mode in radeon settings I am getting full dual GPU utilization, and nearly 100% performance scaling, with a solid 96FPS (capped there due to VSync). I have played the original Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide, so I know what issues your talking about.
